Anyone wanting to send presents to Australia using the cheapest option, International Air, will need to have them away by 10 December.
NZ Post has also released the delivery target for its online shipping service YouShop. Orders from the US, UK, Europe and China will need to be placed by 5 December.

Pack it properly – the parcel should be able to travel without being damaged or damaging other items.

Before you go shopping – check the gift you want to buy isn’t a prohibited or restricted item. There are some surprising items on the list, including perfumes, nail polish, cash, toys containing batteries, jewellery and Christmas crackers.
Sending overseas? Fill out all Customs documentation and check whether you have to pay Customs duties. It’ll avoid delays at the other end.
