With the spiralling costs of fuel, you may be looking at alternative ways of commuting to work. You could hop on the bus and doom scroll for 20 minutes, or you could consider investing in an e-bike.

An e-bike offers freedom along with a health boost. But which bikes will have you racing out of bed for the joy of riding to work, and which will have you reaching for that bus pass again?
The 2 worst commuter e-bikes
We test e-bikes for their performance for a variety of scenarios, including:
mountain biking
trail riding
road riding
daily use.
When looking at our e-bike test results to find a good commuter bike, our ‘daily use’ score is the most appropriate score. It scores the bike on running errands around town and short commutes and looks for bikes that:
are easy to mount and dismount
have comfortable seats and riding positions
have good manoeuvrability
have motors that assist well in commuting scenarios.
