Consumer NZ ‘Win with the Consumer Tick’ Promotion Terms and Conditions
1. Promotion terms and conditions
1.1 This promotion, called the ‘Win with the Consumer Tick’ promotion, is run by Consumer NZ Incorporated (‘CNZ’), (‘the Promotion’).
1.2 By participating in the Promotion (including by accepting any prize), you agree to these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions or do not wish to participate in the Promotion, you must contact us to opt out.
2. What are the prizes?
2.1 There will be twelve prizes and twelve prize winners (‘Winners’). The prizes are:

(the ‘Prizes’).
2.2 Participants cannot win more than one Prize each.
2.3 If any of the Prizes becomes unavailable for any reason, CNZ, and/or any supplier of any of the Prizes, reserves the right to replace or substitute the Prize with an item of similar or equal value.
3. Who is eligible to participate in the Promotion?
3.1 To be eligible to participate in the Promotion, you must:
have purchased or held a CNZ digital pass or membership at any point between 12am on 19 October 2024 and 11.59 pm on 31 December 2024 (‘Promotion End Date’).
be eighteen years of age or over (CNZ reserves the right to ask for proof of age and identity prior to the Winner redeeming a Prize),
be a New Zealand resident, and
be an individual person (i.e., not a business, club or school).
3.2 CNZ and the Prize suppliers, Board members, employees, contractors, and their immediate families are not eligible to participate in the Promotion.
3.3 If you meet the eligibility criteria in this clause and have not opted out, you will automatically be entered into the draw to win. One entry per person.
4. Prize redemption
4.1 Delivery arrangements will be discussed and agreed directly with the Winners. CNZ will endeavour to arrange delivery of the Prizes to each Winner. However, some Winners may be required to claim a Prize in person, or contribute towards the cost of delivery, if they live at a rural address and delivering the Prize would result in CNZ incurring additional costs.
4.2 Where the Winner is required to claim the Prize in person, they must provide appropriate identification to CNZ (e.g. driver’s licence or passport, birth certificate).
4.3 Timing of the delivery of the Prizes may differ depending on the specific supplier of each Prize. In some cases, delivery may take up to 2 months from the time of the draw.
4.4 CNZ reserves the right to refuse a Prize to any Winner who CNZ decides (in its sole discretion) has violated these terms and conditions, gained unfair advantage in participating in the Promotion or won using fraudulent means.
4.5 The Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
4.6 No other family members, friends, associates or any other person will be able to redeem the Prize on the Winner’s behalf.
5. Winner notification and announcement
5.1 Within seven business days of the Promotion End Date, CNZ will draw Winners for the Prizes in the order listed in clause 2.1 above. The Winners will be contacted on the phone numbers or email addresses provided to CNZ at the time they became a CNZ member or digital pass holder. If we do not hold an email address or phone number for you we will send a letter by overnight courier. If a Winner has not replied to CNZ within 5 business days of the initial email, phone call or courier from CNZ, CNZ reserves the right to redraw the prize. If a second winner does not reply within 5 business days, the prize will be forfeited. The final decision in respect of awarding a Prize is at the sole discretion of CNZ and no correspondence will be entered into.
5.2 By participating in the Promotion, entrants grant CNZ permission to use their names, characters, photographs and likeness in connection with the Promotion and for future promotion and marketing purposes and waive any claims to royalty, right or remuneration for such use.
5.3 All times stated in the Promotion, including the Promotion End Date, refer to New Zealand local time and all references to currency refer to New Zealand Dollars.
6. Liability, indemnity, costs and additional terms
6.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, CNZ and any associated promoter(s), agencies and/or companies shall not be liable in any way (including, without limitation, in negligence) for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered (including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss) or for any loss or damage or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the Promotion. CNZ’s liability to any participant or Winner will be limited in all circumstances for all claims to the value of the Prize.
6.2 The Winner takes any Prize entirely at their own risk and indemnifies CNZ in respect of any claim for any accident, injury, property damage or loss of life that may occur in connection with the Prize.
6.3 The Winner is responsible for all insurance, tax, travel, installation or other costs that may be associated with the Prize.
6.4 Where any Prize has associated terms and conditions the Winner accepts that Prize subject to those terms and conditions.
6.5 Any vouchers and products that are Prizes are subject to the specific manufacturer or supplier product warranties and terms and conditions. You may also have rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act.
7. Privacy
7.1 Your personal information will be held by CNZ in accordance with its obligations under the Privacy Act 2020 and the CNZ Privacy Policy.
7.2 We will use your personal information to contact you if you are a Winner in accordance with clause 5.1.
7.3 CNZ will not sell, disclose or distribute the personal information provided by customers to any person, organisation, agency or other third party except as required by law and as provided for in these terms and conditions.
7.4 This Promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed by or administered by Facebook, Instagram or Google.
