About our reliability and satisfaction survey

We surveyed nearly 9,000 New Zealanders and asked them, among other things, which products they’d bought in the past 5 years, what faults they’d experienced, how satisfied they were, and how likely they were to buy from that brand again.

We’ve analysed the data and presented the results as reliability and satisfaction ratings, from lowest to highest. The highest-rated brands get our People’s Choice award, an indication of many satisfied customers.

Dehumidifiers

Stop the press – there are no dehumidifier brands that we’d class as “least reliable” based on our survey results! However, even though it got average ratings for both reliability and satisfaction, Living & Co (The Warehouse) was the brand that owners were least likely to purchase from again (only 52% said they would).

Air purifiers

Kmart air purifiers are stinkers, with a lowest satisfaction rating and only a paltry 35% of owners saying they’d buy one again.
