One washing machine brand is always being searched for on the Consumer NZ website: Bosch!

You may wonder why.
Are Bosch washers that much better than their competitors? Or could a cheaper alternative brand be just as good an option?
What makes a good washing machine?
We put washing machines through four tests in our lab:
dirt removal – how much dirt a machine extracts from garments
rinsing – how well the machine rinses away the dirt and detergent
gentleness – how gentle the machine is on garments
spin performance – how damp the garments are after the final spin cycle.
We also record:
how much electricity machines consume during a standard cycle
how much water they use for the cycle.
We also survey New Zealanders to find out how reliable and satisfying to own their washing machines are. And we assess a brand’s repairability by talking to repair and spare parts specialists.
All of this data is used to create an overall score for a washing machine.
